There are a few things you should be aware of if you wish to change the font for use with the Virtual Keyboard Plug-In. First, the selected font must fit into the $DISPLAY
hotspot. If the hotspot is not large enough vertically to display the font, nothing is displayed. You will have to adjust the size of the $DISPLAY
hotspot in order to ensure that it is large enough for the selected font.
Additionally, if you wish to change the font used for display, besides using the Font
command in your MediaMogul script, the font module name of the currently active font must be entered as Parameter 2 in the Call to cdi_virt
. This is not the name of the font file, but rather the name of the module contained in the file. To find out the name of the font module, use the ident
command in CD-RTOS. The command line for this is:
ident filename
where filename
is the name of the font file. The result of the ident
command will list information about the font module contained in the file.
EXAMPLE:
$ ident OP10t.fnt Header for: cdi_OP10t.fnt Module size: $13E8 #5096 Owner: 0.0 Module CRC: $DC3732 Good CRC Header parity: $25A9 Good parity Edition: $1 #1 Ty/La At/Rev $400 $8001 Permission: $777 -----ewr-ewr-ewr Data Mod, Sharable
In the above example the ident
command is used on a font file named OP10t.fnt
. This returns information about the font module contained in the file. The name of the font module is located in the Header for:
field. In this example, the font module is named cdi_OP10t.fnt
. This is what should be entered into Parameter 2 in the Call to cdi_virt
.
